Sharing videos

Every video has a Share button above the player. It creates a link you can send to anyone — a teammate, or someone outside the workspace entirely.

Sharing a video

1. Open the video and click Share (top-right, above the player).
2. Copy the share link from the dialog.
3. Send it wherever you like — the recipient doesn't need a Dockable account to watch.

Share links are unlisted: anyone with the link can view that video's share page, but the link is a long unguessable token, not something discoverable.

What a shared viewer sees

The share page presents the video with its title and playback — a clean viewing experience, not your workspace. Recipients don't see your Library, collections, or other content.

Note: Sharing a link and workspace access controls are separate layers. Restricting a video to managers governs who inside the workspace sees it; a share link is an explicit act that exposes that video to whoever holds the link. Share restricted content deliberately.

Comments with timestamps

Inside the workspace, teammates can comment on a video at a specific moment — click Comment in the video page's action row, and the comment anchors to the current playback time. Comment markers appear on the player timeline so discussion points are visible at a glance.

FAQ

Can I revoke a share link?

Deleting the video kills its links. For gentler control, keep sensitive content restricted and share selectively in the first place.

Do share views count in analytics?

Views are tracked per video, including shared viewing — the view count on the card reflects total watches.
